After a hard rain in the foothills, leaning fence posts are one of the most common problems around Toccoa. Red clay sheds water fast, and runoff can wash soil away from posts that were set too shallow.
What to check
- Soil washed away from the base of posts
- Posts that move when you push the top rail
- Water running along the fence line instead of away from it
- Gates that suddenly drag or will not latch
